CNC Training At Citizen Machinery America

History

Citizen Machinery America has long recognized the value of properly educating and training customers in the efficient and productive operation of the machine tools we sell. In today's job market, skilled machine programmers and operators are essential for efficient and profitable operations. Experience does not necessarily equal knowledge. The world of machine tools and machining is ever changing. Employees must continually be given the opportunity to grow. Providing the necessary educational opportunities will not only benefit the employee in his or her personal growth but also help the company retain personnel.

  Apprenticeship Program

Comprehensive CNC is an apprenticeship program that will provide employees with the necessary skills to perform specific job functions. The program comprises four courses and covers shop math, cutting speeds, ANSI tooling and inserts, blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing, metric conversion, offsets, lathe & mill program format and trigonometry.

Core Competency Tests a series of skill tests designed to determine the employee's skill level. Skill tests can also be administered to potential new employees. Testing applicants helps to obtain an honest skill profile of the candidate. Testing will also allow management to pinpoint individuals that have the greatest potential.

Classes are flexible and can be conducted at CMA's Rose Training center or at the customer's facility. Each course is taught over a six-week period (two days per week, two hours per day). Combining first and second shift into one class allows for more employees to be trained in the six-week class schedule.

Please contact Randy Nickerson or Ron Piela a for class schedules or more information.

State and Federal Funds
Available for Employee Training

Many employers recognize the benefits of providing additional training for their employees but in today's economy, finding the funds to pay for it is difficult. Rose Training Systems has teamed up with National Training Associates (NTA) to solve this problem. NTA is in the business of helping companies obtain state and federal grant money to subsidize employee training. For more information about NTA, please visit their web site at www.ntainc.net.
